Northumberland Employment Partnership Supports Coca-Cola Morpeth in Recruiting New Technical Operators

The Northumberland Employment Partnership is pleased to announce its successful collaboration with Coca-Cola’s Morpeth site in the recruitment of two new Technical Operators, demonstrating the strength and efficiency of partnership-led hiring across the region.

Following a highly productive employer engagement meeting, Alex, Employer Engagement Coordinator for the partnership, introduced the vacancies to the wider employment network. Partners across Northumberland quickly mobilised, submitting high-quality CVs from the customers they support.

Coca-Cola offered 10 places for an on-site open event and interview. Thanks to the swift response from the network, 8 of those slots were filled by candidates put forward through the Northumberland Employment Partnership.

Candidates were welcomed on site, experienced an operational tour of the facility, and took part in a structured selection process. Their professionalism and preparedness led to several being shortlisted, and ultimately, two roles were successfully filled directly through the partnership’s efforts.

Tony Davidson, Production Manager at Coca-Cola Morpeth, praised the partnership’s contribution, expressing that he was “over the moon” with the rapid turnaround, the quality of candidates, and the seamless coordination leading to filled interview slots and final hires within just two weeks. He also shared that this success marks only the beginning of Coca-Cola’s partnership with the Northumberland Employment Partnership, with both parties hoping to coordinate more meaningful opportunities and collaborative projects in the future.

This collaboration highlights the effectiveness of the Northumberland Employment Partnership in supporting local employers while connecting residents with sustainable career opportunities. It also demonstrates how businesses can access diverse local talent pools they may not have engaged with previously, strengthening both workforce development and the wider Northumberland community.
