Employment and Skills Partnership January 2025

On January 29th, members of the Employment and Skills Partnership gathered for their bi-monthly meeting, at Tharsus. All present contributed and shared ideas related to the Institute for Health Equity’s “Good and Fair Employment” project, which aims to reduce Northumberland’s health inequalities through employment. With the lead and support of Northumberland County Council‘s Public Health senior manager, members worked on establishing timelines, planning workshops, setting priorities, forming working groups, and finalising drafted Terms of Reference. Additionally, there were presentations on various topics, including Business in the Community, Employer Engagement and In-Work Support, Reed’s pilot program with the NUFC Academy, local labour market trends, and an opportunity for further knowledge sharing between various working streams.
